Other Notes:
Again this year I want to say a VERY special Thank You to the members of
our local Audubon chapter, River Bluffs Audubon Society! Many RBAS
members came out to support the Big Sit and share their expertise with us.
Of the 20 participants, 13 were RBAS members. THANK YOU! Certainly
the highlight of the day was a very cooperative Ruby-crowned Kinglet that
gave us many good looks and opportunities for good pics. A couple of
first-time birds in the BIV Bird Garden: An Eastern Wood-Pewee was
spotted and a Killdeer was heard (thank you Chris). In all we listed 34
species and enjoyed food and fellowship with other birders. Our thanks
again to all who participated!
